Good Morning,

 

Women’s History Month, a new Italian spot, parade plans, and plenty of ways to get involved locally are all making news this week. From Bellport students meeting women in law enforcement to big community events, new business openings, and family-friendly programs, there is a lot happening across Patchogue and nearby towns. Here’s what to know.

Bellport Middle School hosted a panel of Suffolk County female law enforcement professionals to celebrate Women's History Month. Students were educated on the importance of these women in law enforcement.

The green will return to downtown Patchogue on March 22 as the village celebrates its annual St. Patrick's Day Parade. This year's celebration honors Mark Miller as Grand Marshal, recognizing his contributions to Patchogue's downtown and riverfront.

  • MoCA L.I. is hosting Learning to Look | Georgia O’Keeffe and the Transcendental Painting Group on March 12, 2026 at 6:30 PM, exploring O’Keeffe’s time in Taos beginning in 1929 and her connection to artists like Raymond Jonson, Emil Bisttram, and Agnes Pelton as they shaped early modernist abstraction in the Southwest. 
  • Ivy Rehab Physical Therapy is celebrating its grand opening in Patchogue and inviting the community to stop by and say hello. The celebration will take place on Wednesday, March 11 from 5:30 to 8:00 pm at 400 S Service Road in Patchogue.

  • Join an all-level Yoga class at the Henrietta Acampora Recreation Center in Blue Point, running Mondays from March 2 to April 13.
  • Patchogue Lioness Lions Club and Patchogue Ambulance Company are hosting a community blood drive in honor of Olivia “Liv” Schaaf, a 3 year old girl who was recently diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia and is beginning a long road of treatment. The blood drive will take place on Monday, March 16 from 1:00 to 7:00 pm at 336 W. Main Street in Patchogue, with walk ins welcome and appointments available by contacting the New York Blood Center.

  • Brookhaven Highway Department is hosting a free  Child Safety Seat Check on Thursday, March 26. Appointments are required.

Grammy Award-winning Los Lonely Boys are coming to Patchogue Theatre for the Performing Arts. The Texas trio behind the hit "Heaven" brings their Texican Rock n' Roll sound to downtown Patchogue with tickets going on sale this week.
