• Gateway’s Haunted Masquerade Supports Bellport Performing Arts Center - The Gateway’s Oct. 10 fundraiser features costumes, cocktails, food, a VIP haunted house pass, coffin ride and costume contest, with proceeds benefiting the Performing Arts Center of Suffolk County. Annual Keith Romaine Snapper Derby: Young anglers are invited to the annual Keith Romaine Snapper Derby on September 13 at the Union Avenue Dock in Center Moriches. Bring the kids out for a fun day of fishing while supporting a great cause. Registration is now open!

• Bellport’s Annual Scarecrow Contest Returns This September - Residents can register by calling 631-286-0327 or emailing receptionist@bellportvillageny.gov. Craft pumpkins and wooden stands will be available at Village Hall starting September 10, and completed scarecrows must be returned by September 30.

 

• South Country Library Hosts Jaws Movie Night At Bandshell - South Country Library will show Jaws at the Bellport Marina Bandshell on Thursday, September 3, from 7:30 to 10 p.m. The outdoor movie night will take place at 55 Bellport Lane in Bellport.

 

Brookhaven’s Fall 2026 recreation season is packed with ways to get active, learn something new and connect with the community. From the Brookhaven Country Fair and youth sports to yoga, line dancing, arts, aquatics and family programs, residents can find activities for nearly every age and interest.
