Here’s what’s happening. There are several serious crashes are under investigation. At the same time, students are being celebrated for their creativity at Town Hall, and veterans are being honored through a moving multi-day tribute. Plus, local schools, events, and performances continue to bring the community together this week.

2 Hurt After SUV Veers Off Road in Patchogue |
An SUV veered off the road and sideswiped two other vehicles in Patchogue, leaving two people injured according to police. The incident is under investigation. Read full story → |
Brookhavens Got Talent Student Art Show |
The Fourth Annual Brookhavens Got Talent Student Art Show celebrated student-artists at Town Hall on April 28. A record 60 submissions from 55 students were displayed with the theme Everyday Wonders That Make Me Smile. The artwork will remain on exhibit through May. Read full story → |

Video Shows Bayport Crash on Sunrise Highway |
Dashcam footage shows a 2022 BMW sliding across eastbound Sunrise Highway near Nicolls Road in Bayport, striking the guardrail and ejecting both occupants. The driver was hospitalized with serious injuries while the passenger sustained minor injuries. Police are investigating the cause of the crash. Read full story → |
Crash Shuts Down Westbound Sunrise Highway in North Bellport |
A 59-year-old woman was injured in a crash on westbound Sunrise Highway at Exit 56 around 5:30 a.m. Police say the driver lost control, hit the median, and struck another vehicle. She was taken to Stony Brook Hospital in serious condition while the other driver had minor injuries. Read full story → |
