12-Year-Old Struck by Alleged Drunk Driver While Biking in Bayport William Schultz, 67, of Holtsville, was arrested and charged with DWI after allegedly striking a 12-year-old girl riding her bicycle at Montauk Highway and First Avenue Sunday evening. The Bayport Fire Department sent nine firefighters across the Great South Bay by boat on Sept. 16 to help battle a working house fire in Fire Island Pines. Crews brought the blaze under control before it spread through the densely built beach community. Read More... |
One Hurt in Two-Vehicle Crash on Sills Road in East Patchogue An 81-year-old Patchogue woman was taken to NYU Langone Hospital-Suffolk with a non-life-threatening injury Monday evening after police say her car, turning left onto Sills Road from a parking lot, was struck by a northbound sedan driven by a 24-year-old East Patchogue man.
