Our community honors Memorial Day with parades, ceremonies, a special flyover, and the story behind the Murph Challenge. We also celebrate 100 years of Flo’s Famous Luncheonette, follow updates on a serious Patchogue motorcycle crash, and look ahead to workshops, volunteer projects, recycling days, Pop Con, and more local events..

Motorcyclist Seriously Injured in Late-Night Patchogue Crash

A 26-year-old Bay Shore man was seriously injured after his motorcycle crashed into another bike on East Main Street in Patchogue just after midnight on Saturday. Both bikes were impounded for safety checks as the Fifth Squad continues investigating. Read full story →

Memorial Day Flyover at Bayport Aerodrome – The Bayport Aerodrome Society invites pilots and spectators to commemorate Memorial Day on Monday, May 25th with a special flyover of Calverton National Cemetery and a Bayport Civic Association event.
