Good Morning,

 

We are covering crashes in Medford and East Patchogue, a new pause on data center construction in Brookhaven, and a lawsuit involving alleged hazing at St. Joseph’s University.

There is also plenty to celebrate, from a young Medford gymnast winning a title to new art, family events, volunteer opportunities, and the return of the Great South Bay Music Festival.

Motorcycle Crash Seriously Injures Rider in East Patchogue

A motorcyclist was seriously injured Saturday morning after colliding with a car on Oak Street in East Patchogue. The 24-year-old rider was pulling out of a driveway and attempting a left turn when he struck an eastbound Nissan Maxima around 10:13 a.m.

A pedestrian was struck by a Jeep and injured Thursday night at the intersection of Route 112 and Jamaica Avenue in Medford. The incident occurred around 8:30 p.m.

Former Patchogue Pitcher Alleges Hazing Assault at St. Joseph's

A former Patchogue baseball pitcher has filed a lawsuit alleging he was stripped and beaten by teammates during a hazing incident at St. Joseph's University. The suit claims the assault occurred during his time on the college baseball team.
