Blue Light Club Band performs Morrison classics at Congregational Church with $15 suggested donation |
On Sunday, May 3rd, music and spirituality come together at the Congregational Church of Patchogue for a special concert exploring the timeless songs of Van Morrison.
The event begins at 6 PM with art exhibits opening, followed by the concert at 7 PM.
A Night of Music and Meaning
The Blue Light Club Band, featuring Jack Licitra, Rorie Kelly, two horn players, a soulful choir, a violinist, and a drummer, will provide renditions of Morrison's most spiritual songs.
Dwight Lee Wolter will provide snippets of narration exploring the question: Where does the spirituality in songs come from?
The program examines lyrics like "We were born before the wind / also younger than the sun / ere the bonnie boat was won / as we sailed into the mystic."
