Local Students Honored at 2026 Dellecave Awards Ceremony

Bayport-Blue Point and Patchogue-Medford High School students recognized for academic and athletic excellence

Outstanding students from Bayport-Blue Point High School and Patchogue-Medford High School were recently honored at the 2026 Dellecave Awards ceremony, hosted by the Economic Opportunity Council of Suffolk, Inc.

The annual awards recognize exceptional student achievement across Suffolk County, celebrating young leaders who have demonstrated excellence in academics, athletics, and community involvement. This year's honorees from our local schools join a distinguished legacy of student recognition that spans decades.

 

The Dellecave Awards, presented by the Economic Opportunity Council of Suffolk's Community Action Partnership, highlight the organization's mission of "Helping People. Changing Lives." by spotlighting the next generation of community leaders.

Among this year's recognized students were nominees for Student of the Year and Athlete of the Year categories, including Adrianna Sutherland and Evan Frank, who were celebrated for their outstanding contributions both in and out of the classroom.

 

The ceremony brought together educators, families, and community leaders to celebrate the achievements of these remarkable young people. The awards serve as a testament to the dedication of students, teachers, and families throughout our school districts.
