GiGi's Playhouse Long Island will host its third annual superhero-themed 5K Run and 321 Dash on October 4 at Shorefront Park in Patchogue, raising funds to support free educational and therapeutic programs for individuals with Down syndrome.
GiGi's Playhouse Long Island is inviting runners, walkers, families, and supporters to Shorefront Park in Patchogue on Saturday, October 4, at 9 a.m. for its third annual 5K Run and 321 Dash. The superhero-themed event celebrates Down Syndrome Awareness Month while raising funds to support the organization's free educational, therapeutic, and career development programs for individuals with Down syndrome and their families.
Participants are encouraged to dress as their favorite superheroes and take part in a fun, family-friendly morning that promotes inclusion and acceptance. Since opening its Long Island location, GiGi's Playhouse has provided no-cost programming designed to empower individuals of all ages with Down syndrome through literacy, fitness, speech, and career-focused opportunities. Community support through fundraising events like the 321 Dash helps ensure those services remain free for every family who participates.
Registration is now open for runners and walkers, and sponsorship and donation opportunities are also available for those who would like to support the event. Community members are encouraged to participate, volunteer, or cheer on the participants as GiGi's Playhouse continues its mission of fostering acceptance and creating opportunities for individuals with Down syndrome across Long Island.
