Gateway's Haunted Playhouse, the haunted attraction staged on the grounds of the Gateway Playhouse at 215 S. Country Road in Bellport, has opened for its 2026 season, running weekend nights through Nov. 1.

The attraction features professionally trained theatrical actors guiding visitors through a three-dimensional haunted environment, with a new theme, path, and cast of characters built each year. A "Midway" carnival area outside the haunt offers food, drinks, a shooting gallery, and a coffin ride.

New this year is the Mr. Tickles 3-D Funhouse, a blacklight attraction with optical illusions viewed through 3-D glasses. The main haunt is recommended for ages 13 and up.

General admission runs $30 online or $40 at the door early in the season, rising to $44 online or $54 at the door as Halloween approaches. Mr. Tickles tickets are $8 online or $10 at the door, and Fast Pass options are also available.

A gentler daytime experience for younger kids runs Saturdays and Sundays in October from noon to 3 p.m., recommended for ages 3 and up, at $25 per ticket.
