Brookhaven Welcomes Fall With Recreation, Family Programs and Country Fair |

The Town of Brookhaven is welcoming fall with a full schedule of community programs, from a two-day country fair and youth sports to fitness, arts and recreation classes. The Fall 2026 lineup offers activities for residents of a wide range of ages and interests at facilities across the town.
One of the season’s highlights is the Brookhaven Country Fair at Longwood Estate in Ridge on Sept. 19 and 20. Celebrating America’s 250th anniversary, the event will feature historical reenactments and demonstrations, children’s activities, a dog show, house museum tours, craft vendors, food stations and an INTERFACE food drive. New this year are a beer tent and live performances by Southbound. Admission is $5, while children 12 and younger are free.
Fall programming also brings plenty of opportunities closer to home. At the Henrietta Acampora Recreation Center in Blue Point, residents can choose from yoga, country line dancing, mindful meditation and sound bowl healing, beginner Mahjong, and Sprouts & Friends classes for young children. The New Village Recreation Center in Centereach will offer kids karate and kickboxing, Zumba, yoga, watercolor classes and Soccer Stars for children ages 3 to 5.
Additional activities include ongoing water aerobics at the Brookhaven Aquatic Center in Mastic Beach and pickleball programs at the Centereach Sports Complex. Super Soccer Stars sessions are also planned at Diamond in the Pines in Coram and Heritage Park in Mount Sinai. Residents interested in participating can view available programs, schedules and registration information through the Town of Brookhaven’s online recreation catalog.
