Farmingville, NY – Dan Panico has announced the 2026 dates for the Brookhaven Youth Bureau’s Safe Summer Program, a free initiative designed to provide teens and young adults with a safe, drug and alcohol free place to gather during the summer months. The program is a partnership between the Town of Brookhaven and the Suffolk County Police Department.

Open to youth ages 13 to 20, the Safe Summer Program features live music, sports and social time at several town locations. Supervisor Panico said the initiative helps young people build connections and feel supported within their community, and he encouraged families to mark their calendars.

At Cedar Beach in Mount Sinai, teens can enjoy the shoreline and live music on Thursday nights July 9, 16, 23, 30 and August 6 from 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm.

Martha Avenue Park in Bellport will host activities next to the ball fields Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings from July 7 through August 6, also from 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm.

The Mastic Athletic Complex, located at Frances Landau Place and Mastic Beach Road across from William Floyd High School, will offer skateboarding and basketball Wednesday, Thursday and Friday nights from July 8 through August 7, 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm.

Residents seeking more information are encouraged to visit the Youth Bureau webpage or contact the Brookhaven Youth Bureau at 631 451 8011. Families are invited to take part and help spread the word about this free summer opportunity.
