Bellport's Frank Trotta Named Chairman Of Suffolk Credit Union |
The village's longest-serving mayor also sits on the Brookhaven Town Industrial Development Agency board |

Frank Trotta, a Bellport businessman and the village's longest-serving mayor, has been elected chairman of the Board of Directors of Suffolk Credit Union. He previously served as the volunteer board's vice chairman and has been a credit union member for more than 50 years.
The board also named Phil Bauccio vice chairman, James Maggio treasurer, and Robert Spadaccini secretary. Maggio had chaired the board for 12 years before moving into the treasurer role.
A Familiar Name In BellportTrotta was an elected official in the Village of Bellport for 31 years, including 27 years as mayor. He is chaplain of the Bellport Fire Department and South Country Ambulance Company, and owns Fire News, a publication covering fire and EMS departments across Long Island and 17 states. He also sits on the Brookhaven Town Industrial Development Agency board as assistant treasurer.
"I look forward to working alongside my fellow board members and the leadership team to build on our strong foundation," Trotta said in a statement.
