Bellport has become a vibrant center for community service projects that invite locals of all ages to lend a hand.

One young resident who stands out is Sara Repper, recently honored with the youth humanitarian award for her tireless dedication to helping others around Bellport Village.

Community initiatives this year have ranged from neighborhood cleanups and waterfront restoration efforts to mentoring students and volunteering at the local library.

The Athletes Helping Others Club at Bellport High continues to connect students with special needs peers, hosting inclusive events and raising support for Special Olympics New York—an effort many call transformative for the school culture.

Residents also enthusiastically participated in the annual "Freezin' for a Reason" Polar Plunge, highlighting both Bellport’s sense of fun and its compassionate spirit.

Beyond the schools, Bellport's community service projects have grown to include food drives assisting local pantries and beautification work spearheaded by students and lifelong locals alike.

As Bellport sees new families moving in and local businesses growing, involvement in community service remains a source of pride—one that continues to draw praise from school and civic leaders.

Every new project, from beach cleanups to book drives, helps strengthen the bonds that hold this South Shore village together.
