Jen McNamara Named Grand Marshal for 36th Annual Parade

Jen McNamara, a long-time Blue Point resident and founder of the FDNY Firefighter John F. McNamara Foundation, has been selected as the 2026 Grand Marshal for the Bayport Blue Point St. Patrick's Day Parade..

The announcement celebrates Jen’s continued dedication to honoring the legacy of her late husband, John F. McNamara, whose motto “Whatever It Takes” inspired the creation of the Johnny Mac Foundation. The organization has become a vital source of support for first responders while also uplifting families and strengthening local ties through programs, events, and community partnerships. Residents across Bayport and Blue Point have watched the foundation grow into a trusted presence that reflects the spirit of service Jen has carried forward.

Her selection by the Bayport Blue Point Chamber of Commerce highlights both her leadership and the foundation’s impact. Community members will have the chance to honor Jen’s contributions on Sunday, March 15, 2026, at 11 a.m., when she leads the 36th Annual Parade along Montauk Highway through the center of town. The Parade Committee shared that they are eager for neighbors, families, and supporters to come together and cheer as Jen steps into this well deserved role.
