The Elly CARES Project is preparing for its 5th annual Stomp the Stigma 5K for Mental Health Awareness on May 30 at Shorefront Park in Patchogue.

 

This event celebrates the memory of Ellyana "Elly" De La Torre, a beloved young woman who bravely faced mental health struggles before her passing in 2021.

 

Organizers are inviting sponsors and table vendors to join this day focused on community, support, and education.

 

The 5K aims to connect neighbors with mental health resources and foster a welcoming environment for open conversations.

 

In past years, hundreds have participated, showing widespread local dedication to mental health advocacy.

 

Local businesses, organizations, and community leaders are encouraged to get involved to help expand support networks and strengthen Elly’s lasting legacy.
